Find nodes and nested groups from Outline, follow live and completed work from Activity, and understand what remains available in read-only collaboration.

Key ideas
- Outline follows real hierarchy: Groups are shown before other items and nested content follows the actual group structure. Search results flatten matching items while retaining their breadcrumb.
- Activity is a run log: Running items show live elapsed time. Finished items show success or failure, duration, completion time, and the failure message when one exists.
- Navigation is permission-safe: Viewers and commenters can use Outline and Activity even when editing actions such as Add and Assets are unavailable.
Steps
- Open Outline and type in “Find anything on this canvas”.
- Expand a group to inspect its nested nodes, or use a search result breadcrumb to understand where a match lives.
- Select any row to select the item and pan it into view on the canvas.
- In Card mode, use the eye action on an eligible hidden input to show it on the card; this edit action is not shown to viewers.
- Open Activity to see separate Running and Finished sections.
- Select an Activity row to reveal that node on the canvas.
- Use Clear finished when the completed history is no longer useful; active work remains.
- Watch the Activity rail badge while another panel is open; counts above nine display as 9+.
What persists
- The rail remembers its collapsed state and width between 260 and 620 pixels.
- Mounted panels preserve state such as Assets search, folder, and scroll when switching tabs.
- Finished errors remain visible on the canvas until the next run; closing Activity does not erase its store-owned log.
Tips
- Use Outline instead of repeated zooming when a large canvas contains nested groups.
- Click a failed Activity row before retrying so the exact card and its error are visible.
Limitations and important notes
- Outline does not change execution order.
- Clear finished removes the local finished list; it does not undo generated outputs.
Troubleshooting
Outline says the canvas is empty.
Add something from the Add tab or press Tab on the canvas.
I cannot expose an input from Outline.
Confirm that you can edit, Card mode is active, and the input supports Show on card.
