Each scene has a timeline of layers with start/end times, trim points, and per-property keyframes (x, y, opacity, scale, rotation, width, height).
Where: Video editor → timeline panel (bottom) — Select a scene to show its timeline
Key ideas
- Layers: Text, image, video, and audio layers stack in z-order with start/end and trim (in/out) points.
- Keyframes: Per-property tracks animate x/y/opacity/scale/rotation/size at specific times.
- Auto duration: The timeline can auto-grow from the rightmost layer end, or be locked explicit.
Steps
- Select a scene; its timeline shows below the canvas.
- Add a layer (text/image/video/audio) and set its start/end.
- At a given time, add keyframes for the properties to animate.
- Scrub or press Play to preview.
