The visual binding bar

The binding bar floats over the selected element and is how you connect design to content: bind it to a field, collection, or repeater, let AI auto-bind, ignore it, or create a collection straight from the selection.

Where: Canvas (CMS visual binding on) → select an element — The bar floats above the selection

Key ideas

• Bind: Bind the element to a field, a collection (repeater root), or a repeater, and pick the connection type (text/image/background/color/link/attribute/visibility).
• Auto-bind & ignore: Let AI map fields automatically, or mark an element as ignored so it’s excluded from binding.
• Create from selection: Spin up a collection, repeater, menu, or page-parts directly from what you selected.

Steps

1. Turn on CMS visual binding and select an element.
2. Use the bar to bind it to a field/collection/repeater.
3. Pick the connection type.
4. Or use auto-bind / create-from-selection.
