Bring exact Brain records into Designer without a cramped sidebar copy, pin standing project context, target individual record parts, and save completed research back to Brain.
Where: Designer chat + menu → From your Brain; @ mention autocomplete; finished research → Save to Brain; dashboard → Brain.
Key ideas
- Brain is context, not a hosted Designer page: Brain no longer occupies the right dock. Browse it in the dashboard or the full-size picker opened from chat. Designer then represents chosen records as visible mentions or pinned standing context.
- Mention versus pin: A mention supplies a record to one message. A pinned record is shown above the composer and accompanies every turn in the project until unpinned. Pin only stable context such as the active brand—not one-off research.
- Record parts and assets: After mentioning a record, use # or / to select a section, field, or file. The picker can offer the record’s pictures as visible message assets, but it does not inject all images automatically.
Steps
- Open + → From your Brain. Use the full Brain browser’s type rail, cards, covers, search/location, and create flow to find the actual record.
- Pick the record. If it carries images, choose whether to add the relevant assets to the message; do not attach every angle by default.
- Leave it as a message mention for one task, or pin it when the record should ground every future turn in the project.
- To target one part, type # or / immediately after the record mention and choose its section, field, or file. Confirm the resolved chip.
- Ask in Design, Plan, or Ask mode. Designer’s Brain tools can list, search, read, or write records according to the active permission/tool surface.
- After a research run, choose Save to Brain, complete the save dialog, and wait for the saved note. Open the saved record from that confirmation when you need to verify it.
- Unpin records that no longer define the project so future prompts do not silently carry stale context.

Tips
- Pin the brand; mention the campaign brief. This keeps standing identity separate from temporary instructions.
- Use record parts for large brand books or research documents so the model receives the exact section needed.
Limitations and important notes
- Designer has no Brain page type and no Brain right-dock tab.
- A record name typed as ordinary text is not guaranteed to resolve; use the picker or mention autocomplete.
- Write access depends on workspace/project permissions and the active assistant tool table.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find Brain in the right rail.
That tab was retired. Open + → From your Brain, use @ mentions, or browse Brain from the dashboard.
A saved research run looks unchanged.
Wait for the saved note, then open/reload the Brain browser. A successful save creates or updates a record; it does not turn the right dock into a Brain list.
