Use the full-page Media surface for images, video, music, voice, and sound with model-aware controls, explicit reference roles, a large inspection stage, and project-library actions.
Where: Designer → Add page → Media, or the right rail’s Media door.
Key ideas
- A hosted full-page workspace: Media replaces the normal iframe stage with a gallery, inspection stage, and editing flow. It is a real page in the project, but it has no device selector, exposed document fields, or motion timeline.
- One composer, capability-aware controls: Media uses the same Designer conversation composer rather than a second make bar. Choose image, video, or audio; Best, Cheapest, or a named model; then only supported shape, size, duration, count, voice, and negative-prompt controls appear.
- Reference roles are explicit: Image supports text-only or one reference image. Video distinguishes text-only, first/last frames, and style references. Named models show an unsupported mode disabled rather than secretly switching models; Best/Cheapest may repick a capable model.
Steps
- Open or add the Media page and choose image, video, or audio in the composer’s media controls.
- Choose Best, Cheapest, or a named model. Then set only the controls the chosen route exposes: shape, size, duration, count, voice, or negative prompt.
- Choose Text only, Reference image, First frame/First & last frame, or Style reference as appropriate. Fill the labelled slots; a style reference is not an opening frame.
- Check the price tag beside Send and run a small representative request.
- Open a result on the large stage. For clips, use hover/playback and inspect the poster/first frame instead of judging a filename.
- From a media tile, add it to chat, insert it into a chosen page, edit an image/video, choose it for a requested reference slot, or delete it.
- When editing, confirm whether the new result replaces a use on one page or should be inserted separately. The workspace identifies pages currently using the original.
- Clear filters/grouping when looking for a newly saved asset; the newest result appears in this project’s files.
Generation controls
- Kind: image, video, audio
- Model: Best, Cheapest, or a named model with its unit price
- Shape/aspect ratio when supported
- Resolution/size when supported
- Duration for video/audio routes that expose it
- Count for routes that support multiple pictures
- Voice id for voice generation
- What to avoid / negative prompt when accepted
Video reference modes
- Text only — prompt without media
- First frame or First & last frame — pictures define the clip boundary
- Style reference — labelled Style image and optional Style clip slots; these guide look, not frame content
- Up to six visible style-image slots and two visible style-clip slots; the model’s real provider ceiling remains authoritative
Library actions
- Open on stage
- Edit pictures and clips
- Add to conversation
- Insert into a selected project page
- Pick as an awaited reference
- Delete from the project library
- Filter/group/browse folders and load more
Tips
- Use a named model when reproducibility matters; use Best/Cheapest when you want the requested mode to choose a compatible route.
- Insert a selected take into a page rather than referring to “the last one” after several generations.
Limitations and important notes
- Only images and video can enter the markup/edit surface; audio is managed or inserted as audio rather than visually marked up.
- The visible slot cap keeps the composer usable and does not expand the provider’s accepted references.
- Deleting a project media item can break pages that still use its URL; inspect usage before removal.
Troubleshooting
Style reference is disabled.
Choose Best/Cheapest so flowmo can select a capable model, or explicitly choose a named model that accepts style references.
The generated clip starts with my style image.
The image was placed in a frame slot. Switch to Style reference and attach it to a Style slot.
