Compare Dashboard’s Featured for you shelf with Flowgen’s Suggested flows, and understand how listing compatibility changes the install path.
Where: Dashboard → Featured for you, or Flowgen canvas → Discover/Marketplace.
Key ideas
- Featured for you is a Dashboard campaign shelf: Dashboard promotion cards are admin-curated and may be targeted to a user profile. Opening a featured item can install/instantiate it and take you into the resulting work rather than showing the same in-canvas detail-first flow.
- Suggested flows is a Flowgen discovery shelf: Flowgen’s Discover dialog shows recommended, compatible flow listings ahead of the browse controls. Open a listing detail page first, then choose Use when you want to install it.
- Compatibility is surface-specific: The in-canvas suggestions filter for listing kinds that can be applied to the current Flowgen surface. A missing item may be incompatible or simply not part of the current curated recommendation set.
- Discovery is not the whole Marketplace: A featured or suggested shelf is a recommendation entry point; use browse/search and listing filters to inspect the broader catalog and listing type details.
Steps
- From Dashboard, open Featured for you if it is present and review the listing card and destination before selecting it. The selection may install the item directly into your account.
- From a Flowgen canvas, open Discover/Marketplace. Review Suggested flows, then open a listing to inspect its description, compatibility, price, and included assets.
- Choose Use only after confirming the listing fits the current project and you accept its price/entitlement. Follow the install prompt and inspect the resulting nodes or assets before running them.
- If the desired item is not in a recommendation shelf, use Marketplace browse/search and the relevant listing-kind filter.
- For a listing that should be reusable in future work, install it through the appropriate flow and keep its update/entitlement information with the listing; use the creator guide only when publishing your own item.
The two recommendation flows differ
- Dashboard Featured for you: a promoted campaign card; click-through can directly instantiate the listing and navigate to it.
- Flowgen Suggested flows: compatibility-filtered recommendations inside Discover; open details, inspect the listing, and explicitly choose Use.
- Both shelves can be absent when no eligible campaign/listing is available. Absence does not mean Marketplace is offline.
Before using a listing
- Check whether it is a Flow, Blueprint, asset, or another supported product; listing kinds expose different actions.
- Read the listing’s compatibility, included assets, update terms, license/entitlement, and current price.
- Inspect imported nodes and connections before running paid or external actions.
Tips
- Use Dashboard promotions when you want a quick curated start; use Flowgen Discover when you are already on a canvas and need a compatible graph.
- Search the full Marketplace when a recommendation is missing or too narrow.
- Treat third-party or user-created flows as code/data you should inspect before execution.
Limitations and important notes
- Campaign targeting and recommendation ordering can change; the shelves are not guaranteed to show for every user.
- The Flowgen shelf filters by compatible listing kind, while Dashboard campaigns may target a different product surface.
- Purchase, refund, update, and resale rights follow the listing’s current terms.
Troubleshooting
Featured for you is not visible.
The Dashboard shelf is campaign-driven and may not be available to every profile or work mode. Open the Marketplace browse page directly.
I cannot find a listing in Flowgen Suggested flows.
The in-canvas shelf only recommends compatible listing kinds. Search/browse the Marketplace or inspect the listing’s supported product type.
Clicking the Dashboard card did not show a detail page.
Dashboard campaigns can instantiate and navigate directly. Reopen the resulting project/listing from Projects or Marketplace purchases to review its details.
