Ask the Flowgen agent to prepare a selected graph, connected flow, or existing Group for Marketplace listing, then review the real graph snapshot, category, tags and thumbnail in the native dialog before you publish.
Where: Flowgen AI agent → request Marketplace preparation; or select the intended nodes and use the canvas Group/Marketplace publish action.
Before you start
- A reusable Flowgen graph, selected node set, connected flow, or existing Group.
- A completed image output suitable as the listing thumbnail.
- Listing intent: what it does, who should use it, its inputs/outputs, and an appropriate Marketplace node-group category.
Key ideas
- Agent preparation is not publishing: The Flowgen graph agent can prepare the current selection, the connected flow around it, or one existing Group. It opens the native Publish dialog with a snapshot and proposed metadata; it does not publish by itself. A human must review and press Publish.
- The listing metadata must describe the reusable asset: Use a truthful title and useful description of what the flow does, its intended use, inputs and outputs. Choose one of the supported node-group categories and up to 12 relevant searchable tags.
- Thumbnail comes from a completed image output: The tool requires a thumbnail_node_id that identifies a node with a completed image output. It reads that output URL and the dialog attempts to fetch it as an image; if that fails, choose or upload a replacement image in the dialog.
- The dialog supports create or update: For a new listing the reviewed snapshot is published as a node-group listing inside projects. A creator may instead choose an existing node-group listing to update with the current graph and metadata.
Steps
- Confirm with the user which reusable graph to list: the selected nodes, the connected flow, or a particular existing Group. If that intent is missing, ask before preparing a listing.
- Inspect the Flowgen graph and completed assets. Decide which nodes form the reusable product and select a completed image output for the thumbnail; do not invent or reuse an unrelated thumbnail.
- Provide the exact target (selection, connected_flow, or group), a title, accurate description, supported category, relevant tags, and thumbnail_node_id. For group, also provide the existing group_id; explicit node_ids may be used for selection/connected_flow when needed.
- Review the opened Publish dialog. Check the snapshot boundary and connections, edit title/description/category/tags, and verify the thumbnail is the intended image. If the image did not load, choose an image file in the dialog.
- Choose whether to create a listing or update one of your existing node-group listings. Review any gated/purchase settings shown in the dialog.
- Publish only when the human is satisfied and explicitly presses Publish. Confirm the dialog reports success; the preparation tool’s “prepared” response is not evidence of a live listing.
Target scope
- selection: snapshots the selected nodes and their relevant subtree.
- connected_flow: snapshots the connected graph around the selected/provided roots.
- group: snapshots one existing Group and its contents; group_id must identify a real Group node.
- The dialog shows the prepared node-group content so the creator can verify what the listing includes before publishing.
Supported categories and metadata
- Builders; Research; Marketing & UGC; Product; Video & Motion; Web & Brand; Audio; Imaging; Image Pipeline; Video Pipeline; Character; Style / Look; Brand; Compositing; Upscale / Enhance; Utility; Other.
- Tags are normalized to lowercase, deduplicated, and limited to 12.
- The selected thumbnail must be a completed image output, not a video, unfinished generation, or guessed URL.
- If an existing node-group listing is selected for update, its listing record is updated with the new snapshot and details; this differs from creating a second listing.
Where listings appear
- Node-group listings are reusable Flowgen assets available inside projects, such as Flowgen Marketplace/Discover surfaces; they are distinct from Marketplace project listings and standalone app publishing.
- Publishing a Flowgen node group does not automatically publish the current project or a website/video export.
Tips
- Ask about audience or intended use when the description/category is unclear; do not infer private or paid intent from the graph alone.
- Prefer a representative image output from the actual flow. If its remote image cannot be fetched into the dialog, upload a suitable thumbnail there rather than claiming the listing is ready.
Limitations and important notes
- The native dialog requires an authenticated creator and a valid node-group payload.
- The agent tool validates category, tags, target identifiers, and image output, but the user is still responsible for intellectual-property, privacy, pricing/gating and content review.
- A successful preparation call only opens/pre-fills the dialog. No public listing exists until Publish succeeds.
Troubleshooting
The agent says it prepared a listing but I cannot find it in Marketplace.
Preparation only opens the human-reviewed dialog. Finish the review and press Publish; then verify the dialog success message and look under your listings.
The thumbnail was rejected or is blank.
Use list_assets to identify a completed image-producing node and pass its exact id. If the dialog cannot fetch the resulting image URL, upload/select a thumbnail manually.
The listing contains extra or missing nodes.
Cancel before publishing. Re-select the intended graph, clarify whether the target is selection, connected flow, or one Group, and prepare again.
The category is rejected.
Choose an exact supported node-group category from the dialog/tool list; do not send a custom category label.
