The CMS panel has several supporting tabs: pre-built special-page blueprints, reusable page parts, breadcrumb trails, and the list of elements excluded from binding.
Where: Left sidebar → CMS — Open the CMS panel
Key ideas
- Special pages: Blueprints (search, archive, taxonomy-archive, product, product-category, cart, checkout, my-account, shop) that insert the right fields + repeaters.
- Page parts: Assign elements as reusable Header / Footer parts.
- Breadcrumbs & ignored: Mark elements as breadcrumb-trail items; review/bulk-manage the elements excluded from CMS binding.
Steps
- Open the CMS panel.
- Add a special page from a blueprint.
- Assign Header/Footer page parts.
- Set up breadcrumbs and review the ignored list.
Special-page blueprints
Search, archive, taxonomy archive, product, product category, cart, checkout, My Account, and shop blueprints start the correct page/CMS structures. They still need design-system styling, responsive review, query/data testing, and staging verification.
Page parts
Assign reusable site elements such as Header and Footer to their appropriate part role so the destination can place them consistently.
Breadcrumbs
Configure breadcrumb-trail output and verify hierarchy, current-page labeling, links, responsive wrapping, and semantic navigation.
Ignored elements
The ignored list records elements intentionally excluded from CMS binding. Review and bulk-manage it so important content is not silently left static.
Tips
- Use a blueprint as a schema/layout starting point, not a finished production page.
- Review ignored elements before concluding that auto-binding missed content.
Troubleshooting
A special page is empty after publish
Check its page type, destination query/data, required plugin/commerce context, bindings, and whether the preview used representative entries.
An element never appears in binding suggestions
Check the Ignored elements tab and remove it from the ignored set when it should be CMS-driven.
