Bind design elements directly to CMS fields on the canvas — connect text, images, and repeaters to content without leaving the designer.
Where: Right sidebar → CMS section / visual binding bar — Select an element and bind it to a field
Key ideas
- On-canvas binding: A floating binding bar connects an element to a collection field.
- Binding indicator: Bound elements show a badge on the canvas.
Steps
- Open a content page and the CMS section.
- Select an element (text/image/repeater container).
- Use the binding bar to connect it to a collection field.
- Preview with sample entries.
What can be connected
- Bind text, image, background, color, link, attribute, or visibility to a field.
- Bind a container as a collection/repeater root so its child design repeats for rows.
- Use the floating contextual bar to auto-bind, ignore an element, or create a collection from the selection.
Previewing real structure
Use representative entries, including missing values and long text, before publishing. A binding can be technically correct while the designed card still breaks with real content.
Tips
- Bind the smallest responsible element—for example, bind the image source on the image rather than the entire card.
- Keep intentional decorative elements ignored so auto-binding does not propose them later.
Troubleshooting
The selected element shows no expected fields
Confirm the active collection/repeater context and that the field type is compatible with the chosen connection type.
