Use the complete editor chrome: name and page controls, type-aware device or aspect, undo/refresh, exposed fields, systems, selection, collaboration, Layers, Media door, and timed-page rail.
Where: Inside any Designer project or Flowgen Designer-node editor.
Key ideas
- Controls follow the active page: The project can mix page types. The active page decides whether the bar shows device width, aspect, a fixed stage, a hosted view, exposed fields, or the motion strip.
- Pages and elements have different navigation: The page dropdown manages project pages. Layers shows the active page’s element tree and supports selection, collapse, delete, reorder, and re-parenting.
- One persistent right panel: Layers is the only persistent right-side panel. Media is a door to the full Media page, and Brain is reached through dashboard/pickers/mentions rather than a cramped dock tab.
Steps
- Use the editable design name and page dropdown to confirm the project and active page before editing.
- From page controls, switch, rename, duplicate, reorder, remove when another page remains, save reusable pages, or add a typed page.
- Choose the canvas mode, then use Desktop/Tablet/Mobile for responsive pages or the aspect picker for Video, Ad, and Media.
- Use Refresh to restart the frame and page-specific undo/redo to change document history.
- Open Fields when the document declares exposed controls; choose Direction and Design system from their chips.
- Inspect selection count and clear/delete intentionally, then check role, save state, and collaborator presence.
- Open Layers to select nested elements; drag onto a row to re-parent or between rows to reorder.
- For a time-based page, use the bottom motion strip to rewind, play/pause, scrub, resize/reorder beats, and tune the selected beat. Use Share & export only after checking the active output.

Tips
- Use Layers before assuming an overlay is unselectable.
- Refresh and undo solve different problems: refresh resets runtime playback; undo changes the document.
Limitations and important notes
- Media and Design system hosted pages replace the iframe and do not show normal device, field, or timeline controls.
- The last remaining page cannot be removed.
- Undo belongs to the active page and does not retract an already shared/exported file.
Troubleshooting
The top bar has no device selector.
The page is fixed-stage, aspect-based, or hosted. Use its available aspect control or switch to a responsive page type.
Brain is missing from the right rail.
Use + → From your Brain, @/# mentions, a saved-research note, or dashboard Brain; only Layers remains a dock panel.
