Compose a timed video page on an exact artboard, choose the delivery shape, edit beats and media, validate the stage, and render or export the intended output.

Key ideas
- One video type, four shapes: A reel is a Video page using Portrait 9:16, not a separate page type. Landscape 16:9 is the default; Square 1:1 and Portrait 4:5 use the same video workflow.
- The document owns the exact artboard: The selected aspect writes an exact 1920×1080, 1080×1920, 1080×1080, or 1080×1350 stage. Changing it resizes the canvas but does not recompose existing content.
- The timeline is the motion source of truth: Beats define names, presets, durations, cues, overlap, stops, and loop behavior. The bottom rail requests playback from the frame runtime and reports its real clock rather than running a second timer.
Steps
- Add a Reel & video edit page and choose the final delivery aspect before composing.
- Add or generate the needed video, image, and audio assets; use explicit frame/style reference roles when generating footage.
- Compose inside the exact stage and keep essential text, faces, and actions inside the placement-safe area.
- Create motion beats, name them uniquely, set their duration/preset, and use cues or overlap for choreography.
- Use Rewind, Play/Pause, the draggable playhead, and beat chips to inspect the full sequence from a clean start.
- Select a beat to open Tweaks, then adjust only the knobs declared by its preset; resize/reorder the beat on the rail for timing.
- Run stage and motion checks, then inspect the actual Media results and audio timing.
- Use Share & export to produce the required presentation/video or downloadable artifact, then inspect that file rather than relying on canvas playback.

Timeline controls

- Unresolved cues and duplicate beat names are surfaced as timing problems.
Tips
- Lock the aspect before detailed typography and safe-area work.
- Use a named beat and cue vocabulary that still makes sense to another editor.
Limitations and important notes
- Aspect changes are undoable resizes, not responsive recomposition.
- The Tweaks panel does not own duration; duration belongs to the beat on the rail.
- Scroll-scrub video is a website behavior and is not offered on a fixed timed Video stage.
Troubleshooting
The reel is landscape.
Set the Video page aspect to Portrait 9:16; creating a Video page alone defaults to Landscape 16:9.
Playback timing differs from the beat labels.
Resolve duplicate beat names or missing cue references, rewind, and test again from the runtime clock.
