Add movable review pins, discuss a node/area, and resolve threads without changing the flow graph.
Where: Flowgen toolbar → Comments, or node context menu → Comment
Key ideas
- Canvas-space anchors: Comments are positioned on the canvas or beside a node and move independently of graph nodes.
- Review roles: Commenters can pan/zoom/create/reply while remaining unable to mutate the graph.
- Separate persistence: Threads live in project comment collections, outside the Flowgen Y.Doc, so review does not dirty the flow.
Steps
- Enable Comments in the toolbar.
- Add a pin or choose Comment on a node.
- Write/reply in the thread and move the pin if needed.
- Resolve the thread when addressed.
Review without graph edits
Commenters can place/reply/resolve threads without receiving graph-edit permission. Threads are collaboration metadata outside the flow document, so review activity does not dirty the node graph.
Pin scope
- Canvas-level pin for a general area/decision.
- Node-adjacent pin for a specific card/output.
- Replies preserve the discussion thread.
- Resolve only after the requested change is verified.
Troubleshooting
A comment moved away from its subject
Attach it beside the relevant node rather than to an approximate empty canvas location, and name the output/version in the thread.
