A source-audited map of the six new node types and more than twenty new or materially changed authoring modes added since the August 11 help-center checkpoint.
Where: Flowgen canvas -> shared Add catalog, node cards, and Properties
Key ideas
- Six genuinely new node types: Video Analysis, Shot Design Gen, Shot Motion Gen, Effects, Video Depth Map, and Video Depth Fog / Blur are new creatable NodeType values. Each has its own detailed node-reference article.
- The rest are modes and expanded contracts: The larger release count comes from List run/view modes, transform authoring, design-system masters, reference handling, export outputs, asset interactions, model routes, composition inputs, and shared catalog behavior rather than twenty additional enum values.
- One Add roster everywhere: The left Add tab, canvas right-click menu, and connection/noodle suggestions now derive from one catalog. Duplicates are removed by node type plus initialization variant, and simpler deterministic nodes rank ahead of agentic alternatives.
- MCP follows current graph semantics: The MCP node enum, prompts, property bags, exact sockets, non-running-node rules, model/reference limits, and List refresh behavior are maintained with the same source-backed contracts as the articles.
Steps
- Search the shared Add catalog for Video Analysis, Shot Design Gen, Shot Motion Gen, Effects, Video Depth Map, or Video Depth Fog / Blur.
- Open the detailed article for the node before automating it; the two Video Depth nodes do not run, Effects has different still/video commit behavior, and Shot Motion requires an exact upstream shot.
- For existing flows, inspect Lists, Text Editor, Transform, Depth Blur, Crop, 3D Model Generation, Design System, HTML Export, Video Composition, and Assets for the expanded modes below.
- When creating by MCP, use the current NodeType strings and exact handles; send complete nested opParams/fxParams/params bags.
- Use the live model picker as the final authority for availability, supported references, output controls, and quoted Sparks.
New nodes
- Video Analysis: reconciled ms timeline -> Markdown + JSON.
- Shot Design Gen: origin/revision of one nested editable shot.
- Shot Motion Gen: shot-local trim, retime, reframe, tracks, and cues.
- Effects: 116 free GPU shaders on images or video.
- Video Depth Map: deferred per-frame depth-map render instruction.
- Video Depth Fog / Blur: deferred focus, bokeh, and atmospheric-depth instruction.
List and data modes
- Items List Manual versus Refresh items before Play.
- Redesigned inline cell editing, typed preview surfaces, replacement chooser, and page-in-cell rendering.
- List/Grid presentation, 90-360 tile density, and whole-record fullscreen carousel.
- Paired source/Results Lists now run from the current graph and preserve fresh dependency barriers.
- Extract / Merge reads declared/measured shapes, offers ready-made recipes, previews Route branches, and preserves typed media/list values.
- Text Editor adds literal Find/Replace, next/previous match, Replace, Replace all, and Command/Ctrl-F.
Image, video, and 3D modes
- Depth Blur and Video Depth Fog / Blur can pick a focus plane by clicking the depth surface.
- Crop exposes a draggable crop box over the actual fitted image instead of requiring four numbers.
- 3D Model Generation accepts ordered multi-view inputs with provider-specific limits; Meshy V7 and Hi3D/Hi3D Multi-View join current routes.
- Video Composition accepts live exact shots_in, a Structure ref / pattern_in, the complete Design System, and a real prompt/instruction channel.
- Video Render bakes deferred video-depth pipelines and paints the complete video-target design system into rendered shots.
Design-system and web modes
- Design System carries separate web and video target masters.
- Both masters open as editable native documents and save back to the node.
- Web references include responsive and RTL compositions; target masters can vary composition instead of duplicating one static preview.
- The video master is a real timeline of shots and preserves authored motion as portable GSAP.
- Design System, pattern page, image references, placement assets, exact page/CSS, Skill, Review, and System Prompt have distinct source-of-truth roles on web/shot/composition nodes.
- HTML Export can optionally save one CSS asset per page and expose css_out without removing styles from the exported HTML.
References, models, catalog, and assets
- Generation reference inputs accept mixed read-only image/video/PDF/HTML/CSS/motion/text/editor sources where the node supports them.
- Per-model reference-image limits are enforced and the UI reports when extra references are not sent.
- Current additions include Gemini 3.7 Flash, Grok 4.6, LTX 2.5 Pro/Fast, Grok Imagine 2/Quality, MiniMax Music 3, Seed Audio 1.0, and Hi3D routes.
- Generator labels consistently describe jobs: Gen Image, Gen Video, Web Design Gen, Web Motion Gen, Web Code Gen, Shot Design Gen, and Shot Motion Gen.
- Assets adds durable names/deletes, tags and filtering, prompt-driven organization, drag-to-add versus click-to-inspect, and an overflow menu for occasional actions.
- Any editor-backed node can copy an editor link; embedded editors preserve their experience mode and single live editor-slot behavior.
Tips
- Count node types and feature modes separately when planning release coverage.
- Prefer the detailed per-node reference over this overview for socket/property authoring.
- Use explicit handles whenever several sockets accept text, HTML, or default media.
- After changing model, effect, or automation recipes, resend the complete dependent property bag.
Limitations and important notes
- This is an overview and intentionally does not reproduce every control from the linked node articles.
- Live model availability and price can change after this source verification date.
- Some features require an open browser/editor and cannot execute headlessly.
