Drive lists from WordPress with query settings — posts per page, offset, order by/order, taxonomy filters, and pagination mode.
Where: CMS → listing/repeater query settings — Configure a list’s query
Key ideas
- Query settings: postsPerPage, offset, orderBy (date/title/modified/rand/menu_order), order (ASC/DESC), taxonomy filters.
- Pagination modes: none, numbered, load-more, or infinite.
Steps
- Bind a list/repeater to a post-type.
- Set the query (count, order, filters).
- Pick a pagination mode and wire prev/next/load-more.
Define which posts appear
- Choose the post type/list source, posts per page, and offset before tuning the order.
- Order by date, title, modified time, random, or menu order; select ascending or descending to control direction.
- Use taxonomy filters to narrow the set when the collection needs a category/tag constraint.
Pagination and navigation
- Choose none, numbered, load-more, or infinite pagination based on how the page should expose the remaining results.
- Connect previous/next or load-more controls to the pagination behavior used by the list.
- Preview a page with enough sample posts to verify order, page boundaries, and empty states.
Tips
- Use an offset only when intentionally skipping leading posts; combine it with a stable order when results should be predictable.
