Stack procedural/deform/constraint modifiers, draw swept 3D paths, extrude closed shapes, and animate objects along them.
Where: 3D editor → Add Path or select an object → Modifiers
Key ideas
- Modifier stack: Generate, deform, and constrain stages run in ordered stacks; numeric parameters can be exposed and keyframed.
- Bezier path geometry: Paths support round/square/ribbon swept solids, trim windows, caps, twist/taper, and closed flat or extruded fills.
- Follow Path: Attach objects or cameras with offset/alignment/bank controls and animate the follow offset for travel along the curve.
Steps
- Add/select the mesh or path.
- Add and order the needed modifiers, or edit the path anchors/bevel/fill.
- Expose numeric modifier/path parameters that need timeline animation.
- For travel, attach the target with Follow Path and animate its offset from 0 to 1.
Modifier stack
Use ordered generate, deform, and constrain stages; reorder/disable them to understand evaluation and expose supported numeric parameters to the timeline.
Path system
Edit Bezier anchors/handles, sweep round/square/ribbon profiles, fill/extrude closed shapes, animate trim, and attach an object/camera with Follow Path.
