In existing scene-based Video projects, each scene is a page with its own composition and breakpoints (including social presets). Native Video Editor compositions use a different timeline and project structure.

Key ideas
- Scene = page: Each scene is one page object; selecting it sets the active scene (pink frame overlay).
- Social breakpoints: A scene can have multiple breakpoints for IG 16:9 / 9:16 / 1:1, etc.
Steps
- Open the Scenes panel.
- Select a scene to edit it on the canvas.
- Use the frame overlay to pick a resolution/social preset.
Scene selection and composition
- Each scene is a page-like composition with its own element tree and timeline content.
- Selecting a scene makes it active and shows its frame overlay; media drops target the active scene.
- Treat scene duration, timeline content, and order as separate checks when duplicating or rearranging a sequence.
Aspect ratios and delivery
- Use landscape, portrait, or square presets as appropriate to the destination.
- Review safe areas, text, and subject framing at every required aspect ratio; the same content can crop differently.
- The scene’s breakpoint/resolution settings control its frame; presentation stops and exported video are separate delivery paths.
Tips
- Name scenes by story beat or shot purpose, not only by number.
- Resolve safe areas and crop differences before final rendering.
Limitations and important notes
- Scene layouts may need per-format framing changes; one composition is not guaranteed to work unchanged at every aspect ratio.
