Each section shows a “+” when it has optional properties you haven’t set yet. It opens a searchable list; pick one to add a row. Added rows get an “×” to remove them.
Where: Right sidebar → any section header → “+” — Click the + to add a property
Key ideas
- Spine vs optional: A section always shows its core (spine) properties plus anything the cascade already sets; the “+” reveals the rest.
- Per section: Added rows are remembered per section and keep their “×” even when blank.
Steps
- Open a section in the right sidebar.
- Click “+” in its header.
- Search and pick a property to add a row.
- Use “×” on a row to remove it.
Why a property is hidden
- The section shows its always-present “spine” properties, properties that already have a value in the cascade, and properties explicitly added by you.
- The “+” menu lists optional properties not currently visible for that section and includes search when the list is long.
- An explicitly added blank row stays visible and can be removed with its “×”; adding a row changes the sidebar controls, not the page’s CSS value until you edit it.
Section-specific behavior
- Optional properties are grouped by sidebar section, so use the “+” in the section that owns the property.
- A property may be in Advanced overflow or another section rather than the one currently open.
- Removing an added row clears that property through the section’s remove action; verify inherited/cascade values if the appearance changes.
Tips
- Search by the property’s familiar CSS name when its UI label is not obvious.
- If a value is already set by a class or breakpoint, the property may appear without manually adding it.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find a property under “+”.
Check the correct sidebar section and whether the property is already visible through the cascade or is managed in another panel such as Interact.
