Breakpoint presence lets you show or hide an element per breakpoint — so a section can appear on desktop but not mobile, without deleting it.
Where: Right sidebar (with a breakpoint active) — Select an element while a breakpoint is active
Key ideas
- Per-breakpoint visibility: Each element tracks whether it’s present at each breakpoint (breakpointPresence).
- Auto-set: Adding an element while a breakpoint is active sets its presence for that BP.
Steps
- Switch to the breakpoint you want to change.
- Select the element.
- Toggle its visibility for that breakpoint.
Breakpoint presence is not deletion
- Presence is stored per element and breakpoint. Hiding on one device keeps the element in the document and can leave it visible at other breakpoints.
- Adding an element while a breakpoint is active can set its presence for that breakpoint; check other sizes before assuming it exists everywhere.
- This setting is distinct from CSS display/visibility styling and from responsive sizing.
Safe responsive workflow
- Switch to the target breakpoint before changing presence.
- Select the intended element and use the Hide on Mobile/Tablet/Desktop control in the sidebar.
- Switch to neighboring breakpoints and inspect layout, parent spacing, and any interactions that target the element.
Tips
- Use visibility when the content should disappear only at a specific viewport; use separate page structure only when the content genuinely differs.
Limitations and important notes
- Breakpoint names and available device sizes depend on the project’s configured breakpoints.
