Every property row in the inspector renders one of a small set of reusable input widgets. Knowing them helps you read any panel: unit fields, box/dual fields, sliders, color tabs, toggle groups, and the layer list.
Where: Right sidebar → inside any section row — Each property picks its widget automatically
Key ideas
- Value widgets: number, stepper (1–12 counts), unit (px/rem/em/%/auto/vw/vh/ch/ex/fr plus Hug and Fill keywords), text, textarea, slider, select.
- Structured widgets: box (4-side, unified or split), dual (X/Y), layer-list (stacked fills/effects), toggle-group (icon row), layout-display, and the 3×3 position aim picker.
- Color & font: The color field has Solid / Gradient / Image / Variable tabs; the font-picker lists available families.
Steps
- Open any inspector section.
- Read each row’s widget — a unit field accepts keywords like Hug/Fill; a box field unlinks to per-side.
- Use the “+” to add an optional row, which renders with the same widgets.
Read the widget before editing
- Unit fields accept CSS units and context-sensitive keywords such as Hug and Fill; a plain numeric field may instead represent a count, opacity, or another scalar.
- Box fields edit four sides together or independently; dual fields represent paired values such as X/Y.
- Color fields can switch among Solid, Gradient, Image, and Variable; layer-list controls manage ordered fills/effects rather than a single scalar.
Stable automation targets
- Dynamic property rows expose stable data-ai-target names such as prop-width, prop-font-size, prop-mix-blend-mode, attr-name, prop-tag, and prop-content.
- These row targets let tutorials and automation find properties by their semantic key even when the full list is not statically rendered.
- Use the section “+” menu to expose optional properties; the row widget then follows the property type.
Tips
- If a displayed value seems wrong, identify the field widget and active breakpoint/class before changing it.
Limitations and important notes
- A widget’s appearance is shared across many properties; the property’s meaning still depends on its label and owning section.
