Use the f0 AI Assistant for multiple independent sessions, selection and file context, model controls, quick actions, background runs, and floating conversations.
Where: Left sidebar → AI Assistant — Open the AI panel
Key ideas
- Sessions: Multiple independent conversations via tabs — switch, create (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K), close, rename, or pop out.
- Attachments: Attach the current selection, images, HTML, PDFs, or project data as context. Cmd/Ctrl+K → Ask AI auto-attaches the current selection.
- Prompt ideas: Context-aware quick-start prompts based on what you’re doing.
Steps
- Open the AI Assistant panel, or press Cmd/Ctrl+K for the floating Ask AI/property picker.
- Pick a model and start or switch a session; use Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K for a fresh empty one.
- Attach the selection or files for context.
- Use a prompt idea or type your own request.
- Pop out the active conversation when you need it to remain visible while navigating the editor.
Session workflow
- Create separate sessions for unrelated goals and rename them so prior decisions are findable.
- Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K opens a fresh empty session; Cmd/Ctrl+K opens the floating Ask AI/property picker.
- Choose the model and thinking level appropriate to the request.
- Attach only the selection, project information, images, HTML, or documents the task needs.
- Pop out a conversation when it should remain visible while you change panels or editor modes.
- Review proposed tool actions and the resulting canvas change, not only the chat response.
Context changes the answer
The assistant can reason about the active project and selection, but attachments are scoped to the conversation. Start a new session when old instructions or assets should not influence the next task.
Tips
- For edits, select the exact target before prompting.
- Ask for a plan first when a request spans several pages or systems.
Limitations and important notes
- Available models, tools, and attachment types can differ by project surface and plan.
- AI output still needs visual, responsive, accessibility, and factual review.
