Share opens a collaboration dialog: invite people by email with a role, manage who has access, or hand out a public share link. Set whether the project is public or private.
Where: Left sidebar header → Share (or the dashboard project card → Share) — Click Share
Key ideas
- Invite by email: Enter an existing flowmo account email and pick Editor (authored changes), Commenter (review discussion without editing), or Viewer (read-only). You can also notify them by email.
- Share link: Generate a role-bearing /join?token=… link with Editor, Commenter, or Viewer access; copy it, or disable/regenerate it to revoke people who joined through the old token.
- Visibility & management: Set the project public or private, and change a collaborator’s role or remove them. Some controls are owner-only.
Steps
- Click Share in the sidebar header (or on the dashboard card).
- To invite: type the person’s flowmo account email, choose Editor, Commenter, or Viewer, and send.
- To share broadly: choose the link role, generate a share link, and copy it; disable or regenerate it to revoke the prior token.
- Set public/private and manage collaborators’ roles as needed.
- Use organization/team/folder settings instead only when the person should receive every project in that live container.
Managed collaborators
- Invite an existing account by email.
- Choose Editor, Commenter, or Viewer.
- Review current collaborators/online presence.
- Change or remove access where owner permissions allow.
Share links and visibility
A generated link can carry Editor, Commenter, or Viewer access and can be disabled or regenerated to revoke people who joined through the old token. Public/private visibility and link state are separate from named workspace membership.
Choose the right scope
Use a project Share dialog for one project. Use organization, team, or folder membership only when the person needs every project in that live container.
Invite several people in one pass
The Share dialog accepts typed or pasted email lists and queues valid addresses as removable chips. Commas, semicolons, spaces, and new lines separate addresses; duplicates are removed, malformed emails stay visible, and failed invitations remain queued for retry.
- Editor, Commenter, or Viewer role
- Optional Send email invite toggle
- Enter commits an address; Enter on an empty field sends the queue
- Backspace on an empty field removes the last chip
- One Invite action processes the complete queue
Tips
- Send Commenter access when stakeholders need to leave feedback without editing.
- Send Viewer access for inspection-only stakeholders.
- Disable or regenerate old share links after a review window closes.
Limitations and important notes
- Some visibility, role, and revocation actions are owner-gated.
- Anyone who received a live public link may have copied content before the link was disabled.
