Steps
- Select an image or video element.
- Open the Media section in the right sidebar.
- Replace the source or adjust fit/sizing.
Image controls
- Replace the source by uploading, choosing an existing asset, or using a stock-media plugin.
- Choose how the image fills its frame with object fit and positioning.
- Set meaningful alt text and loading/decoding behavior for published pages.
- Open the image editor when the pixels, masks, filters, or layers need direct editing.
Video controls
- Set the primary source and optional alternative formats for browser fallback.
- Choose a poster image and object fit.
- Control playback with controls, autoplay, loop, muted, plays inline, and preload.
- Use a scrub-optimized source when scroll position will drive video time.
Tips
- Resize/crop assets near their displayed size before publishing to avoid unnecessary download weight.
- Muted inline video is the most reliable starting point when autoplay is required.
Troubleshooting
Autoplay does not start
Enable muted and plays inline; browsers commonly block audible autoplay.
The media looks cropped
Check object fit, the element dimensions, and the source aspect ratio. Use contain when the full source must remain visible.
