Where: canvas → left rail → Add → Research → Research — Add a Research node, enter a topic, choose a depth
Key ideas
- Quick vs Deep: Quick Search returns a fast summary; Deep Research runs a focused investigation and exposes extra inputs — Focus Areas and optional Competitor URLs — and surfaces a 'deep' badge while running.
- Topic input: Type a research topic (or wire a Text node to the Research Topic handle), e.g. 'AI productivity tools' or 'luxury skincare'.
- Summary + report outputs: Two output handles: Summary (text_out) for a concise blurb and Full Report (html_out) for the long-form result — both feed straight into Text Generation, Section, or other nodes as context.
Steps
- Add a Research node and enter a topic in the Research Topic field.
- Choose Quick Search or Deep Research.
- For Deep, add Focus Areas and optionally competitor URLs.
- Click Deep Research / Quick Search.
- Wire the Summary or Full Report output into a downstream generator as context.
