Build a video as ordered scene pages on one composition timeline, using the Scenes panel, framed canvas, Focus/Studio timeline dock, media library, captions, presentation controls, and video/audio/slides exports.

Key ideas
- Scenes are pages: The Scenes panel adds, orders, duplicates, selects, and removes the page-sized scenes that make up the composition.
- One framed composition: Resolution presets or custom dimensions, FPS, and the scene frame define the visible bounds and timing basis.
- Focus and Studio: The bottom dock can expose a simpler timeline or the fuller Studio timeline; a user default or project override controls the initial editor view.
- AI shares the document: The f0 AI assistant can work from selected elements, assets, script/scene context, and the timeline; Cmd/Ctrl+K is available for contextual Ask AI when canvas conditions apply.
- Several output modes: Publish a web presentation or scroll site; export slides where available; render video; or mix/export audio.
Steps
- Create or open an f0 Video project and set the intended resolution/aspect preset or custom width and height, then choose 24, 30, 60, or custom FPS.
- Use Scenes to add and order scene pages. Select a scene to edit it inside the visible scene frame.
- Open the bottom dock and choose the simpler or Studio timeline view for the task; expand the media library when placing reusable assets.
- Place and trim visual/audio layers, animate scene elements, set composition timing, and generate or edit captions from the audio when needed.
- Use the AI Assistant for scene, motion, media, script, or timeline help. Select an exact element before Cmd/Ctrl+K when you want contextual floating Ask AI.
- Preview/scrub the complete master composition and inspect cuts, frame bounds, audio, captions, local-link media, and the intended presentation stops.
- Open Publish/Render and choose the output: web presentation/scroll site, slides, video, or audio. Configure the format-specific options and wait for completion.
Resolution and frame rate
- Video presets from HD through higher/cinema sizes.
- Social presets for common portrait, square, and platform formats.
- Presentation aspect presets.
- Custom width × height and FPS.
Publish and export choices
- Presentation: shareable scene deck with configured advance behavior, stops, optional captions, and watermark rules.
- Scroll site: scene-based scrolling output.
- Slides: presentation export where the desktop/runtime capability is available.
- Video: MP4/H.264 or WebM/VP9 through the supported desktop live-editor renderer.
- Audio: MP3, AAC, Opus, WAV, or FLAC mixdown.
Cloud versus local media
A cloud-published presentation cannot resolve on-disk local-link media. A supported desktop video render can read local files. Upload or replace local links before a cloud publish.

This guide covers the scene-page f0 Video project. Flowgen Video Editor is a separate native NLE/compositor with Edit and Composite workspaces, shared 3D Worlds, recording, native effects/tracking, and its own AI. Use the linked Native Video Editor guide when the toolbar shows Edit / Composite.
Tips
- Pick aspect and FPS before detailed layout and motion so reframing is intentional.
- Use presentation stops only for deck-style navigation; a normal video render plays continuously.
Limitations and important notes
- Video/audio/slides export availability depends on the desktop runtime and format support.
- Cloud publish is blocked when included scenes depend on local-link media.
- Focus/Studio changes chrome and editing depth; it does not convert the underlying document or output type.
Troubleshooting
Cloud presentation says it uses local media
Find the included scene/timeline asset that points to disk, upload it to the project library, replace the local link, and publish again.
The render differs from one scene preview
Scrub the master timeline, verify scene wrapper timing and nested timelines, and render from the same composition, resolution, FPS, breakpoint, captions, and audio settings.
