Upload or select an HDRI/environment asset and expose it as a typed environment output for a 3D workflow.
Where: Flowgen → Add → 3D → HDRI / Environment
Key ideas
- Environment input card: The card accepts an HDRI file/source, shows its filename and upload state, and emits an Environment Output socket.
- Asset Browser entry: Use the card upload/library controls to choose an existing project asset instead of duplicating the file.
- Typed 3D use: Wire the environment output only to a compatible environment input; it is not an ordinary flat image output.
- HDRI / Environment card: HdriInputNode uses the native-fullscreen shared-card path. Bring an HDRI/environment source into a typed 3D lighting input.
- Properties sidebar: Card-owned upload controls; common properties shell
- Opened surfaces: Asset Browser
Steps
- Add HDRI / Environment and upload or choose the authorized environment file.
- Confirm the source and filename on the card.
- Connect Environment Output to the compatible 3D scene/environment input.
- Open the 3D scene and adjust environment rotation, strength, background visibility, and exposure where those controls belong.
HDRI / Environment controls and presets
- Add path: Flowgen → Add → 3D → HDRI / Environment.
- Card: HdriInputNode.
- Properties: Card-owned upload controls; common properties shell.
- Controls: Upload/source; filename; Environment Output.
- Opened surfaces: Asset Browser.
Tips
- Use an HDR environment with enough dynamic range for lighting, not only a low-range panorama.
- Rotate the environment in the 3D scene to place the key light intentionally.
Limitations and important notes
- The input node owns the source asset; lighting and background treatment are edited in the connected 3D scene.
