The graph editor is an After-Effects-style curve editor for selected keyframes — drag bezier handles to shape easing precisely instead of picking a preset.
Where: Studio timeline → select keyframes → Graph editor — Press Shift+G
Key ideas
- Curves, not presets: Each keyframe pair becomes an editable easing curve you drag by its handles.
- Per selection: Edits apply to the currently selected keyframes.
Steps
- Select one or more keyframes.
- Press Shift+G to open the graph editor.
- Drag the bezier handles to shape the easing.
- Close it to return to the strip view.
Reading the curve
- Horizontal distance influences when acceleration/deceleration happens.
- Vertical shape represents value progression between selected keyframes.
- Steeper sections change faster; flatter sections linger.
- Only the selected keyframe relationships are edited.
Tips
- Start from an easing preset, then refine the handles.
- Avoid sharp overshoot for properties that should never exceed their legal range.
Troubleshooting
The curve does not affect the animation I expected
Confirm the correct property keyframes are selected and that no later interaction/timeline overrides the same property.
