In Focus mode the timeline is a beginner non-linear editor: a lane view (Video / Overlay / Text / FX / Voice / Music / Captions) over your layers, where you drag clips to move and trim and apply Motion presets.
Where: Top bar → Timeline (Focus mode) — Open the timeline in Focus mode
Key ideas
- Lanes: Clips are organized into Video, Overlay, Text, FX, Voice, Music, and Captions lanes.
- Edit clips: Drag to move/trim; Split (S) cuts at the playhead; right-click for crossfade / dip-to-black transitions.
- Motion presets: Apply a keyframe package to a clip from the Motion menu.

- Open the timeline in Focus mode.
- Add media and assign clips to lanes.
- Drag to move/trim, Split (S) where needed.
- Apply a Motion preset and add transitions.
