Captions (video)

In video projects the timeline can generate captions: it mixes the audio, transcribes it, and writes timed caption segments you can edit and style.

Where: Studio timeline → Captions — Open the timeline header in a video project

Key ideas

• Transcribe: The audio is mixed and transcribed into timed segments automatically.
• Editable segments: Caption segments land on the timeline where you can edit text and timing.

Steps

1. Open the Studio timeline in a video project.
2. Click Captions to mix + transcribe the audio.
3. Edit the generated caption segments and timing.
