Stops are pause points you drop on the timeline (website mode). Playback halts at each stop until the viewer advances — turning a timeline into a click-through presentation.
Where: Studio timeline → Stops — Position the playhead and press M
Key ideas
- Pause points: A stop pauses playback at that time until the next advance.
- Click-through flow: Chain stops to build stepped, presentation-style reveals.
Steps
- Move the playhead to where playback should pause.
- Press M (or the Stops button) to add a stop.
- Repeat to build a click-through sequence.
Stop behavior
- A stop pauses timeline playback at its time until the viewer advances; several stops create a stepped presentation sequence.
- Place the playhead at the exact pause point, then use M or the Stops button to add a marker.
- Stops are distinct from a scene boundary or clip cut; they control playback progression.
Preview the presentation flow
- Add stops at meaningful reveal or narration beats rather than every small animation.
- Preview the full sequence and confirm each stop occurs after the intended content has appeared.
- Configure presentation advance behavior separately when publishing a web deck.
Tips
- Leave enough time before a stop for the preceding motion to read clearly.
Limitations and important notes
- Stops pause presentation playback; they do not automatically create scene transitions or user navigation links.
