Video and audio layers in the Studio timeline have media-specific controls: change playback speed (with or without pitch shift), set the volume, mute, and freeze the last frame by extending the clip past its source length.
Where: Studio timeline → expand a video/audio layer — Open the media layer’s controls
Key ideas
- Speed: 0.0625×–16×; a toggle keeps pitch steady or lets it shift (tape/chipmunk).
- Volume & mute: Set the level 0–400% (above 100% amplifies on export) or mute the layer.
- Freeze-frame: Trim a media clip’s out-point past the source duration to hold its last frame (shown with a freeze marker).
Steps
- Expand a video/audio layer in the Studio timeline.
- Set speed (and pitch behavior) and volume.
- Drag the clip’s out-edge past its source end to freeze the last frame.
