Choose among 20 focused nodes for deterministic local image work, prompted masks, video mattes/GIFs, depth workflows, before/after review, and a paid generative effect.
Where: Flowgen → bottom Make button or Add (+) → Image & Vector / Video & Motion / Utils
Key ideas
- 15 local utility operations: Rotate & Flip, Crop, Resize, Blur, Invert, Color Correction, Levels, Channels, Blend, Color Palette, Mask Extractor, Matte Grow / Shrink, Merge Alpha, Video to GIF, and Depth Blur run in the browser and charge no Sparks.
- Specialized nodes: Mask by Text is local-first with paid fallback; Video Matte offers Green screen and This device; Depth Map is local; Compare is a viewer; Gen Effect is a paid Seedream edit.
- Make menu modes: The bottom Make plus menu is flattened for faster search and supports adding from the current selection. Search names/aliases are shared with AI/MCP indexing.
- One node, one job: These cards expose focused properties in both the card and Properties sidebar. Open Image Editor or Video Annotation & Edit when the task needs a larger editing surface.
Steps
- Select an existing asset when you want Add to propose compatible focused operations.
- Open Make/Add and search the exact operation.
- Connect typed handles rather than assuming the first socket.
- Set card or Properties controls.
- For local live-preview operations, wait for the settled save; for Video to GIF and model-backed nodes, click Run.
- Review the per-node guide before batching.

MCP
- create_node supports all 20 exact type IDs.
- set_props sets operation controls; connect_nodes must use exact typed handles.
- run_node is appropriate only for explicit-run nodes. Browser-local operations require an open compatible client and do not execute in server-only/headless automation.
Tips
- Use deterministic local nodes before paid generation when a normal pixel operation is enough.
- Keep masks as separate graph values until the final Merge Alpha/Blend step.
- Use Compare for review, not as an export node.
Limitations and important notes
- Local operations depend on browser decoding, memory, and GPU/wasm capabilities.
- The retired Video Mask by Text node is not part of the 20 active nodes.
Troubleshooting
A local node works interactively but not in a headless run
Keep that step in an open Flowgen client or replace it with a provider/server-capable operation; browser-local nodes have no server executor.
