Maintain existing iframe-backed video document nodes; use the native Video Editor node for new timeline, compositing, 3D, and compositor-AI workflows.
Where: Open an existing Flowgen canvas and select its Video & Motion Editor document node.
Key ideas
- Legacy embedded document versus native Video Editor: Video & Motion Editor opens the older f0 video document surface. The current Video Editor node hosts the native compositor with timeline, 3D Worlds, effects, media AI, and its own MCP lifecycle.
- Keep existing graph state intact: This guide is for existing iframe-backed documents; do not replace or recreate a saved node until its inputs and project identity are understood.
Steps
- Open the existing Video & Motion Editor node and inspect its current document and connected media.
- Use the embedded f0 editor to maintain or migrate the legacy document.
- For new work, add the native Video Editor node and connect layers/audio/compositions/mattes/design systems explicitly.
- Inspect the saved state and downstream render path before removing or replacing any legacy node.
